Combination Grinding / Hard Turning
The processing technique of combining grinding with hard turning is also referred to as fine machining and is particularly suitable for the production of highly precise components with very tight tolerances. In this process, the workpiece is first roughly shaped through hard turning and then finely ground to achieve a high surface quality and dimensional accuracy. The advantage of this combination is that less material needs to be removed through preforming with hard turning, allowing the grinding process to be conducted faster and more efficiently. Additionally, it is possible to work on complex geometries and difficult-to-machine materials such as hardened steels and ceramics. The high precision requirement for the clamping technique in this manufacturing process goes without saying. With our experience and process-optimized clamping devices, we can support you optimally and improve your manufacturing process as well.
